Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

A small group of talented students took part in the Bioluminescence Workshop, two busy days full of hands-on learning in filmmaking, editing, and projection mapping. During the workshop, students filmed and edited video footage from around the venue, creating over 100 abstract video clips. Working together, they then combined these into a vibrant light installation for the Bega Streetlight Festival.

Congratulations to the students, your creativity, teamwork, and positive energy made the night a huge success!

The newly inducted SRC for the upcoming year spent two days this week at the Bournda Education Centre, developing their leadership skills, collaborating with each other to develop their plans for 2026 and ensuring we had a lot of fun and ensured some quality bonding experiences were had.

Watch this space for 2026, we're pretty excited to see what our SRC are going to deliver for our school!

A recent highlight - Year 12 Aboriginal Studies Major Projects

Year 12 Aboriginal Studies students have submitted their Major Project assessment tasks!

They have been working very hard, and their results are impressive. Students have been investigating a topic about our local Aboriginal community and culture. Some topics this year include Cultural Fishing, Dreaming Stories, Language and Bush Medicines.

Year 12 Aboriginal Studies would like to thank Aunty Glenda, Aunty Ellen, Nathan Lygon, Uncle David Dixon and Uncle Robbie for their help. And we would also like to extend a special thank you Aunty Erika.
