Subject Selection for Year 8 into 9 and Year 10 into 11 2021
Subject Selection Information for Year 8 and 10 students this year will look completely different due to limitations on the number of parents able to meet in a school space.
This year the usual Subject Selection Information evening for students and parents will be replaced by Zoom Meetings and online video presentations.
1. On Tuesday, 23 June, Year 8 and 10 students participated in a Zoom Meeting where the relevant staff explained the selection process, NESA rules and regulations and tertiary study requirements. This meeting was recorded. Accompanying this video are a number of shorter videos posted by specific subject teachers to provide and explanation of their subjects.
Students have also been issued with information booklets giving detailed descriptions of available subjects.
2. Students, in consultation with their parents, will complete an online survey through Edval. This survey opened on Wednesday, 24 June and must be completed by Thursday, 23 July to give the greatest opportunity to obtain selected courses. It is important for students to place courses in strict order of preference.
